Marius Maré has built a career in business and IT strategy, digital transformation, and process engineering, spanning more than three decades of leadership across the banking, insurance, supply chain, and technology sectors.

Now based in Manila, Mr. Maré hails from South Africa and has led large-scale technology, consulting, and engineering teams across Africa, Europe, and Asia in deploying intelligent, data-driven solutions at scale.

His experience as an executive with multinational organizations such as PwC, IBM, DHL, and Sybrin Systems led Mr. Maré to found FiftyEight.ai, an AI strategy and digital transformation advisory firm that works with enterprises across emerging markets on adopting AI practically and responsibly, helping them move from fragmented pilots to smart, scalable systems that deliver measurable business value.

As an Independent Director, Mr. Maré hopes to support the bank's growth by leveraging AI strategy and digital technologies to strengthen its digital capabilities, expand access to financial services, and deliver more integrated, end-to-end solutions for customers.
